Event-Shopping - A Value-Added Service for Electronic Malls

With the commercialization of the Internet Electronic Shopping Malls turned up in large numbers. Their initial purpose was to provide the necessary infrastructure for their suppliers to open an online shop to sell their goods, and for their customers to facilitate the tracing of goods and services. But recent shutdowns of big Malls and press releases about unsatisfactory results in turnover let us come to the conclusion that there has to be some kind of added value. We propose an approach to set up a product advisory system for an Electronic Mall that solves complex customer problems following the example of traditional systemor cross-selling. By automatically compiling bundles of goods and services from different suppliers the Event Advisory System (EAS) can increase the benefits for the seller who is a member of the Mall as well as for the customer who is shopping in it.
